Udaipur: In a significant move to strengthen tourism and business collaboration in western Rajasthan, Business Circle International (BCI) has officially launched its Jaisalmer Tourism Chapter. The announcement was made by Mukesh Madhwani, Founder and Chairman of BCI.
As part of the expansion, Dheeraj Purohit has been appointed as the President of the Jaisalmer chapter, while Jitendra Singh Rathore will serve as the Chief Advisor.

The newly established chapter is expected to bring fresh momentum to the tourism and business landscape of Jaisalmer, a key destination in Rajasthan’s desert tourism circuit.
Speaking on his appointment, Dheeraj Purohit highlighted his 15+ years of experience in the hospitality industry as a hotel entrepreneur and tourism professional. He shared that through platforms like The Elite Castle, his focus has always been on delivering meaningful and experience-driven travel opportunities.

Purohit emphasized that the primary objective of BCI Jaisalmer will be to:
- Promote heritage and cultural preservation
- Showcase authentic local lifestyle and traditions
- Encourage eco-friendly and sustainable tourism practices
This initiative aims to position Jaisalmer as a responsible and experience-based travel destination on a global level.
Empowering Youth & Community Engagement
Chief Advisor Jitendra Singh Rathore stated that the chapter will not only strengthen business networking but will also focus on:
- Promoting tourism education
- Creating awareness among youth and local communities
Rathore is a well-known figure in Jaisalmer’s tourism and social sectors. He currently serves as the President of the Red Cross Society, Jaisalmer, and is the Founder Chairman of Royal Desert Safaris Private Limited, contributing significantly to the growth of tourism in the Thar region.


Promoting Cultural Heritage & Innovation
Rathore is also the founder of Kemal Polo India, an initiative that has played a key role in bringing traditional camel polo to national and international recognition.
As a life member of INTACH, he actively contributes to the preservation of India’s cultural heritage.
